Ottawa didn’t have an offense. Even with two 5-on-3s, they weren’t getting shots on net. They just passed it back and forth outside of the crease. The Pens were in control all game long.

I originally thought Crosby was injured again when he hit the boards with his feet in the third. Him sitting there like he did added to the suspense.

In the Devils-Rangers game, Marty Brodeur’s mishandling of the puck on a Power Play opened the flood gates for a three-goal third from New York. The Rangers won 4-1 and take a 1-0 series lead in Jersey.

I drop to 0-2 on March Madness predictions as Tennessee cruises past Stanford 64-48. It gives the Lady Vols their second straight title and eighth overall.

Womens Player of the Year Candace Parker led all scorers with 17 points; she finished one rebound shy of a double-double. Jayne Appel contributed 16 points and Candice Wiggins had 14 for the Cardinal.

Stanford’s 23-game winning streak, longest in the nation, ended. They hadn’t tasted defeat since dropping consecutive road games to UCLA and USC in the beginning of January.
