Back-to-Back Stanley Cups… Perhaps Not.

Defending Champion Anaheim dropped Game 2 on their home ice and has to travel to Dallas down 2-0. After being tied at the end of 2, Mike Modano got a PPG five minutes into the third and both Loui Eriksson (His second of the series) and Brad Richards had a goal and an assist in the final frame.

Jere Lehtinen also scored his second of the series and Mike Ribeiro had a goal and two assists as Dallas showed that the Ducks’ “home-ice advantage” was not all that advantageous .

Anaheim’s two semi-retirees recorded points as Teemu Selanne scored on an assist from Scott Niedermayer and Ryan Getzlaf. Travis Moen had the other Ducks goal.

At this point you have to wonder if Anaheim wishes it had Ilja Bryzgalov back just to try and switch things up. Jean-Sebastien Giguere has now allowed 9 goals in two games.
